Hello,

My man and me, when we were together in Laramie, couple years back, liked to read all these people you mention here.  I'm a writer, too, on a good day, so I hope you will assure me I could comment in your new forum, even though I'm an offender.  No offense, but it looks like you wouldn't mind a little extra posting.

I write strange stories like you said and horror stories, if the writers' sun is shining outside, I mean not about prison just, well yes I do sometimes.  Hard not to.  I'd like to tell you sometimes a little bit about some of my stuff, if it's alright.

I get some computer privs on certain days here in the Women's Center.  I guess I'd rather not say just why I'm in prison but it's not too bad.  I mean there's plenty worse things people do, and I think I've heard about most of those things and much more than I want to.  But the problem is the person with the worst things to tell, even with the changes they likely make to soften it, that's the person you do not want to tell to shut up, if you see what I mean.

I thought I'd mention here that the prison my boyfriend is in, I'm sorry to say, is a real strange and real life horror story type of place and that's on the record books.  And I don't just mean because it's a state penitentiary.  That place ain't normal, even for a prison.

I'm going to include this link on the next line just so you can see what I'm talking about.  Also I wanted to say that Charles Dexter Ward story is terrific, you are right there.

Yes, we'd be glad to hear from you, I do assure you of that.  Also, anyone here who is on the writer side of the narrative continuum [note: this forum recognizes one coin with two sides, each of equal value] is welcome to describe briefly, in a sentence or two, any piece they are working on if they like, and if that piece is in the Strange Tales and Horror Fiction genre (short stories representing a non-exclusive focus).

Interesting link!  Thanks very much.
